"To take wine into your mouth
is to savor a droplet of the river of human history."

So, here are a few of my favorite wineries! Though their websites will give you an idea of what they are all about, nothing beats removing the cork from a bottle and trying their product! So, off to the tasting room or to your favorite wine store and try some of the grape! I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I have.

Located on the Silverado Trail in Napa, this is the one winery where I almost always leave with a bottle of Merlot in my hand. Some lovely cabs, fantastic merlot (tastes like a baby cab), and some reserve blends that will knock your socks off! Stop by their tasting room for a fun and memorable visit.

A fantastic little winery just at the start of the Silverado Trail in Napa. Beautiful Cab's (for about $40), Syrah's, and Pinot Noirs. Great tasting room staff and always a favorite visit!

By far, Sullivan Vineyards has some of the most fantastic big cabs I've ever tasted! If I could afford it, I'd have a lot more of their wine on my racks, but at $100 a bottle.... :-)
If you are looking for an amazing Zinfandel, look no further than Rosenblum! A small winery tucked away in Alameda down by the shipyard, this place contains some of the best wines around! LOL, I loved it so much, I got a part time job working in their tasting room back in 2006 :-)
Unti creates some wonderful wines! I've enjoyed their Petit Syrah, Syrah and Barbera on many occasions and always keep a bottle or two around :-)
Wellington makes some tasty Cabs and are priced very reasonably! In 2004, I bought two cases of their '99 Cab and I was psyched to get them (as they were the last two they had!). I look forward to their new releases and I highly recommend you stop in and pay them a visit if you're in the area!
Simi is another wonderful winery that I've come to love. Terrific Cabs but also some wonderful Merlots! Very friendly staff and worthy of a visit if you're in the area.
St. Supery is another favorite of mine.  I love them for their Cabs and Merlots. When visiting their tasting room, the staff has always been friendly and helpful.
