Here are just a few of the many adventures that me and my Parrot Head friends have embarked on over the past few years. As time goes on (and our memories come back to us), we'll update and post new stories! Oh yeah, 1998 will mark the 7th consecutive year that we've attended all three Jimmy Buffett concerts in Great Woods, MA. Fins up!!
Here is a partial listing of 'the crew":
Scott "Penz" Penziner, Paul "Dubbah" Barnes, Eric "E-Mon" Larson, John "Bok-Bok" Godbout, Becky Farland, Crissy Hardy, Tim Penziner, Mark "Hummer" Hamel, Dana Heather, and Katlin Johnson, Ray "Ranus" Therault, Michael "Tab" Wacisko.
July 4, 1998:  Paul, John, and I drive from NH to NC to see Jimmy play!  Click here for the full story as remembered by Paul.

February 19, 1998: Well, Paul got us the last two tickets for the last show in the 1997-1998 Havana Day Dreaming Tour so we embarked on a trip to Madison Square Garden in New York City! We left on Wednesday night and drove halfway down to the city, stopping in at Bill DeMaio's house for a pit stop. We met up with Bill and his parents and after putting down a few beers and CC 'n Gingers (thanks Big Bill!), we decided to stay the night.

The next morning we got up and headed down to Yonkers, New York where we met up with Irene and Jan Wacisko. After having a great lunch, we got dressed up in full parrot head paraphanailla and they dropped us off at the Yonkers train station. Now, if you want to turn heads, dress up like us and take the train into Grand Central Station. Hahahahah, we WERE the Fruitcakes that your parents warned you about! It was a riot. We had our picture taken numerous times as we walked from Grand Central Station to Madison Square Garden and sure make a lot of people laugh and smile. But hey, isn't that one of the primary responsibilities of ambassadors from Margaritaville? We certainly thought so!

Once we reached Madison Sq. Garden, and it being only 5:00pm, we found the Beema Grill and decided to perch there for a few drinks. While at the bar, we met fellow Parrot Heads Richard Strobridge who was having a few drinks after work and Joe Tonelli, who is the Athletic Director at Albertus Magnus College, and a bunch of Joe's friends. We sat around for an hour or so and put back our fair shares of Corona's, tequila shots and a few stiff Mt. Gay and gingers. After that we stumbled over to the Blarney Stone where wet met up with a large phlocking of Parrot Heads including Julio and Jessica Desanltis (they knew friends of ours from Daniel Webster College - Michelle Clarke and Steve McNight), R. Scott Sear (a police officer from Wilton, CT), Jim Plunket from Plainfield, NJ, and a bunch of other's whose names I can't recall. We put back a few nice Guinness and Corona's and then it was off to the show!

We had nose bleed seats up in section 424 Row A, but by the fourth song (and a beer and a knish later), we were almost dead center, first row off of the floor for the entire concert. It was awesome. Jimmy and the band were great. I was a bit disappointed that they cut out a few songs, making the overall show a bit shorter, but he they did play One Particular Harbor (which they didn't at any of the three shows at Great Woods last year), so I was pretty psyched.. Paul and I had an absolute blast at the show. It was awesome!

After the concert we grabbed a cab back to Grand Central Station (hey E-Mon, that Coast Guard whistle you gave me sure came in handy for catching a cab!). Once at the station, I munched on another Knish (my favorite NYC snack food), got our tickets and headed down to the station area. It was there that we ran into some beautiful models who were having a photo shoot being done in the station. Well, the photographer took one look at us and invited into the photo shoot for a few shots. It was wild!! There we are modeling with these two lovely women, shit faced out of our gourd, dressed in full parrot head gear in New York City! Hahahahah, my friends, it's a crazy wonderful life! As soon as we get the pictures from the photographer, I'll be sure to post one up here.

Out of all the concerts we've been to, Paul and I had to agree, this one had to take the cake! FINS UP!

October 1997: Paul and John Godbut spend a week down in Key West, FL at Fantasy Fest. My, my, my, the stories and pictures they came back with were enough to make you want to wonder if they were really true! What a crazy and awesome time they had!

August 18, 30, 31st, 1997.: OH yeah baby, we were at Great Woods for all three of Buffett's shows. As always, we were one of the first 3 cars in the parking lot, front row, just left of the main walkway. We had a 10 x 12' mural of a Caribbean sunset and a 12' tall life guard chair. We were handing out cherries and apples which had been soaking in grain alcohol for 3-5 days. Oh yeah, returning the virgin cherries to all of the Parrot Head women!

January 1996: Eric, Paul and I head down to Peurto Plata, Dominican Republic for our "Banana Republic, We Gotta Go Where It's Warm" trip. It was 10 days filled with nothing but FUN! Hehehe, we drank our $860 back now, didn't we boys???

January 1995: Eric Larson, Paul Barnes and I drove from Nashua, NH to Key West, FL. That's right, drove! (32 hours). It was Paul's first week back in school after the Christmas break, well, Eric and I kidnapped him from college and off we went to Key West. It was wild! Some memorable highlights: Taco Bell for lunch in NJ. Taco Bell passing through our intestines all the way down to NC, Taco Bell making a rapid and noisy exit from our bodies at the rest area! The Key West Condo (our 'aquired' tent!), Jobours Campground, Rum Runners at Captain Tony's, finding the strippers at the nude gay bar (I stayed for a beer :), Jeannie grabbing her husband by the balls, Gator Chowder, the best PBJ in town, cheese burgers at Margaritaville (with a Bud, Corona and Red Stripe), the Key West Itch (thanks Dubbah!), the Moon Dancer, breaking coconuts at 2:30am, incredible sunsets, the best of friends...
